Graduate Associate Membership

As a recent graduate of a degree or post-graduate qualification at HCA, you can apply for 18 months of free Graduate Associate Membership. We hope you stay part of our community after graduating as you build your creative career.

We  froze our  Graduate Associate Membership (GAM) scheme at the start of lockdown. Our initial GAM scheme included access to some workshop facilities at a subsidised rate and the opportunity to exhibit in our sought-after library exhibition space, but we have been unable to offer this through 2020-21 due to lockdown.

We currently offer library access to GAM’s. To find out more and how to book a slot, please look on our website. We have limited library access available over the summer. The majority of our facilities are closed over the Summer period.

We reviewed our current access offer in July 2021 and can confirm that we hope to offer further limited access to facilities in September.

We will review regularly and keep you posted through our newsletter. To subscribe to our newsletter please scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Library Access

To visit the library, you must book in advance by emailing library@hca.ac.uk at least 24 hours before you would like to visit the library.

Library staff will confirm whether there is space available for your visit. There will be no IT or photocopier access, so please bring your own device if you want to use a computer and ask reception staff for guest wifi passwords. We cannot guarantee there will be support with accessing guest wi-fi during the Summer period as most of HCA’s facilities are closed.

Whilst on-site, Graduate Associate Members must comply with HCA’s COVID-code and wear their orange lanyard (available from reception) and GAM badge. Please arrive when you have agreed with the library team. Other college areas are closed for the Summer.

Graduate Associate Membership is administered by HCA’s reception teams. To find out more about the scheme or to be sent an application form please contact reception@hca.ac.uk.
