Opportunities
Fresh Air Sculpture
Deadline 30 September
We are now accepting applications from artists/sculptors for Fresh Air Sculpture taking place 13 June – 4 July 2021. The show takes place in the extensive organic gardens of The Old Rectory in Quenington, Gloucestershire and promotes the work of emerging and more established artists. We favour experimental work in the traditional applied arts and crafts. We aim to support and promote makers in a multitude of disciplines. Work must be of sufficient scale for an outdoor setting, and robust enough to survive the vagaries of the British weather in the long term. Artist bursaries of between £250-£1,000 available.
Skint Museum Workers: Zine call out
Deadline 17 August
SKINT MUSEUM WORKERS is a collaborative zine looking for submissions from working class people who are current/former museum workers or trying to enter the sector. The museum sector is a notoriously difficult for working class people to progress in due to low wages and the old school tie. This zine aims to highlight working class staff from all areas of the sector to share experiences and advice. Contributions can be in any form so long as it can fit on no more than 2 sides of A5 paper. This could include essays, rants, photography, art work, poetry.
