HCA library is pleased to be able to offer Graduate Associate Members a ‘Click and Collect’ library service, up until Christmas 2020.You will be able to reserve up to five books from the library, which you can then collect from Reception at College Road Campus. You can search the library catalogue and reserve books online here:
http://hlcollege.cirqahosting.com/ or you can just email us your requests on library@hca.ac.uk.

  • To log onto the library catalogue –  your Reader Code is the number under the barcode on your student ID card and your PIN number is the last four digits of that number.

We will then let you know when they are ready for collection.

Please email us on library@hca.ac.uk with any questions.

Graduate Outcomes Survey

If you graduated from a BA course at HCA in the Summer of 2019 you may have already been sent a link to a national survey capturing the activities and perspectives of graduates, known as Graduate Outcomes.

We’d like to thank those who have already filled out their surveys – thank-you SO much – this really helps us. And if you haven’t already been sent a survey please keep an eye out for a link or text from the Graduate Outcomes team.

We will use your survey responses to help us develop our courses here at HCA. Find out more about the Graduate Outcomes survey on their website, on our blog or by contacting us.

Graduate Associate Membership and Residencies

We have had to freeze access for Graduate Associate Membership so that we comply with COVID safety guidelines around physical access to buildings. For the same reason we have also had to freeze the Graduates in Residence scheme, but will soon be circulating a short  ‘expression of interest’ form to this years grads so we have a record of those who may be interested in the scheme in future.

Please email Lily Morris if you are interested in applying for Associate Graduate Membership

Jobs & Funding

Ragdoll Foundation funding

Not-for-profit organisations in the UK that are working with children and young people using the arts and creative media can apply for funding through the Ragdoll Foundation.  The Foundation’s vision is to support projects where the concerns of childhood can be heard.  A variety of art forms can be supported including dance, drama, ceramics, creative play, film, music, puppetry and storytelling.  Supported projects need to support equality of opportunity, can include families and take place in rural or urban settings and may be delivered, for example, in children’s and community centres, nurseries, schools and hospitals.

Funding is available through two programmes:

  • Main Grants Programme (formerly Open Grants Scheme) – Grants of up to £50,000 are available for new, larger or longer-term projects. Projects can last for up to three years. There is a two-stage application process. Stage1 applications to the main grants programme are assessed on a rolling basis and can be submitted at any time.  Applicants successful at this stage will be invited to submit a stage 2 application.
  • Small Grants Programme. Organisations can apply for up to £1,500 for small, one-off projects, pilot projects, or research and development projects lasting up to 6 months. The next deadline for applications is the 8th January 2021.

FOYLE FOUNDATION ARTS GRANTS have reopened

The Foyle Foundation Small Grants Programme has re-opened for applications to support charities with a core remit of the Arts or Learning. In light of the uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Foundation has revised its criteria and will change to make one-year grants only (no multi-year grants) to charities that can demonstrate ongoing financial stability for the next 12 months from the date of their application.

There are no application deadlines but individuals cannot apply, only charities
